Tomislav Muzek, a child of Croatian ancestry, was born in Siegen (Germania) in 1976. He studied at the University of Music of Wien from 1994 and 2000 with Helene Karusso. With Robert Stoll did studies of Oratorio and Lied. He had also lessons from Marianne Spiecker-Henke, Ernesto Palacio e William Jones. In 1999 he won the First Prize at Ferruccio Tagliavini Competition, Osterreich.
During 1999/2000 he was at the Wien Staatsoper di Vienna like a resident artist, he sang also at Teatro Comunale di Bologna Petite messe Solennelle, at Settimane Musicali di Stresa and Lecce. During 2000/2002 he became a resident artist of the Bremen Theater.
In November 2002, he experienced his a significant success at the Bayerische Staatsoper of Munich as Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, he sang also Rossini's Stabat Mater in Messico and Haendel's Saul at Ruhrtriennale (Dortmund, Bothum, Wuppertal), L'Olandese volante at Bayreuth's Festival, Zauberflote in Berlin, Moise et le Pharaon opening the season of La Scala conducted by Riccardo Muti. Following this he sang Don Giovanni, in Toulouse Puccini's Messa di Gloria, Traviata in Wienn, Zauberflote in Berlin, L'Olandese volante at Bayreuth Festival, Cosi fan tutte in Florence.
He sang also Cosi fan tutte at Carlo Felice of Genoa, Toulouse and Geneve, Boheme in Munich and Turin, Lucia di Lamermoor in Split, Haendel's Rinaldo at La Scala, recorded Zauberflote in Budapest, L'Olandese volante in Bayreuth, Oneghin in Split, Zauberflote in Berlin, La Coruña and in Zurich, Zauberflote Requiem, Bopheme and Clemenza di Tito in Stresa, Reinghold in Munich, Elisir d'amore, Rosenkavalier and Salomé at the Opera of Paris, Boheme Traviata and Elisir d'amore in Hamburg, Zauberflote Missa Solennis in Berlin and Salzburg. Rossini's Stabat Mater in Florence, Betthoven's IX Symphony in Liverpool, Don Giovanni in Dresden and Berlin, Faust in Split, Elisir d'amore in Turin, Idomeneo at La Scala, Don Giovanni in Hamburg, Beethoven's Missa Solenis, Elisir d'amore in Turin, Boheme in Berlin, Salomé in Madrid
