Kostyuk Larisa was born in Kuznetsk. She studied singing at the State Gnessin Institute (Prof. Turchinovich) and at the Moscow Institute of Culture (Prof. Portnov).

Larisa Kostyuk is a soloist with the Helikon Opera company, where she performed such roles as Olga in "Evgeny Onegin", Rosina in "Il barbiere di Siviglia", Lubasha in Rimsky-Korsakov's " The Tsar's Bride", Nicklausse in "Les contes d'Hoffmann", Marina Mnishek in "Boris Godunov" and Carmen. With this company she toured Italy, Great Britain, Lebanon, Austria and France. The role of Carmen brought to Ms. Kostyuk a great public and critical acclaim during the guest performances of Helikon Opera at the Theatre des Champs Elysees in Paris. She  repeated her success in this role with Canadian Opera Company.

In 1997 during the First World Olympic Arts Games in Los Angeles Larisa won the gold medal.

She performed Azucena at the Lüdwigsburger Festspiele, Prince Orlovsky in "Die Fledermaus" (under M. Rostropovich) at the Evian Festival, Tchaikovsky's "Iolanta" with Opera de Monte-Carlo, Rimsky-Korsakov's "Tsar's Bride" in Wiener Konzerthaus, "Svanda Dudak" with the Wexford Festival Opera and took part in the concert performances of Prokofiev's "War and Peace", Stravinsky's "The Nightingale" and Grechaninov's "Sister Beatrece" at the Moscow Conservatory Great Hall.

In 2005-2010 Kostyuk appeared as Sonia in "War and Peace"with Opera de Paris, as Olga in Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onegin" in Stockholm, as Frederica in "Luisa Miller" and as Elen Bezukhov in "War and Peace" with Canadian Opera Company and as Amneris at the Opera de Massy.
