Ms. Yuan studied voice at the Artistic College of Nanking, China, where she is soon to receive her diploma in Vocal Performance.
After moving to Paris she continued her studies at the Conservatoire National de Région and went on to solidify her vocal technique at the École Normale de Musique, where she completed her diploma in the highest level of study.
In China, she sang in productions of Carmen, Otello and Tosca at both the Main Opera House and the Large Theater in Shanghai. At the Centre for Culture in Guanzhou she sang in La Traviata.
Her concerts credits include Mahler's 2. Symphony, Beethoven's 9th, Carmina Burana, all of which she sang at the Centre's for Culture in Hongkong and Macao. In 2009, she went on to sing Dvorak's Stabat Mater as well as Leila (Les Pêcheurs de perles) at the Thalie-Theater in Fontainebleau. In 2010, she sang Lisette in Puccini's La Rondine at the Opera House Nancy.
In October of 2010 she joined the ensemble at the Atelier Lyrique d'Opéra National de Paris. Some of her roles have included Mrs.Fiorentino (Street Scene Kurt Weill), Euridice (Orphée et Euridice, Gluck). Ms. Yuan has had numerous concert appearances including concerts at the Amphitheater d'Opéra Bastille, at Palais Garnier with the orchestra from the Opéra National de Paris, and a tournée in London and in Rome (Villa Medici), to name a few. In June of 2012 she performed the role of Sandrina (La Finta Giardiniera) at the Theater MC93 Bobigny (Paris).
In 2010 she gave her debut at the Opéra National de Paris as a Novice in Suor Angelica (Puccini) at, and in 2013 she performed the role of the Shepherdess in Ravel's L'Enfant et les Sortileges.
In 2014 she will sing the role of an Israelite Woman in the Oratorio Moise au Sinai Félicien David from Amaury du Closel, the conductor of the Sofia Philharmonie, at the Opera House of Clermont-Ferrand, in Sofia (Bulgaria) and in Thessaloniki (Greece).
