French mezzo-soprano Aude Cardona began her musical journey playing the violin at the age of 4. Aude began performing with the Orchestre Lowenguth a year later and during her teens she sang with Choirs including the Mai%u0302trise de Sainte Marie d'Antony.

While pursuing her first degree in psychology Aude begins her studies in singing at the Regional Conservatory of Paris and enrolls in master classes with Lorraine Nubar, Dalton Baldwin, Susan McCulloch and Robin Bowman.

These experiences inspire Aude to move to New York City to enroll in the Manhattan School of Music where she studies with Trish McCaffrey and Maitland Peters. During her time there Aude sings the roles of Arsamene, Bradamante, Annio and the Sorceress. Performing these roles Aude develops a taste for baroque music and to perfect her stylistic abilities she begins working with conductor and harpsichordist Kenneth Weiss with whom she continues to work with to this day.

Upon graduating, Aude joins the Young Artist Program at the Center City Opera Theatre in Philadelphia. Here she performs the Sorceress, First Witch, Zweite Dame, Giovanna and il Paggio. Also during this time, Aude collaborates with Remarkable Theatre Brigade in New York City where she performs several world premieres of contemporary operas. She also participates in the world premiere workshop of Best Friends with The American Opera Project in NYC.

A chance meeting with choreographer Sally Hess leads to a years long collaboration exploring the relationship of movement between the voice and the dancing body. This collaboration results in the two performing at NYC's Dixon Place and a subsequent tour of the East Coast in the USA. The body of work performed includes improvisational musical dialogues as well as baroque music with period instruments and with guitarist Rupert Boyd.

Aude's ability to improvise vocally has led her to collaborations with the contemporary pop artists Kanye West, Jay Z, John Legend and the band Fun. to name a few as well as jazz saxophonist Tim Ries.

Aude maintains an undying love for baroque music and in this realm she has worked with Richard Egarr (AAM), Ste%u0301phane Fuget (les Talens Lyrique), Guillemette Laurens, Monica Pustilnik and Julianne Baird. She regularly collaborates with harpsichordist Elliot Figg in NYC.

Over the past years in her constant quest to expand her musical spectrum, Aude has developed her Bel Canto repertoire under the guidance of Gerald Martin Moore, Donata d'Annunzio Lombardi, Metropolitan Opera assistant conductors Pierre Vallet and Vlad Iftinca, as well as with violist Wilfried Strehle of the Berlin Philharmonic.

She recently performed works by Schu%u0308tz, Schein and Telemann with Michel Laple%u0301nie (Ensemble Sagittarius) throughout France. In Paris Aude sang the Mozart Requiem with the Orchestre Coruscant conducted by Sophie Boucheron.

Aude's future engagements include the role of Nicklausse in Les Contes d'Hoffmann with Vocal Productions NYC, a Berlin recital of Brahms's music with a chamber ensemble, a Ha%u0308ndel recital in Lille and a french melody recital with pianist Matthieu Cognet in NYC.
